Guide
How to view or download a YouTube profile picture in high resolution
Method 1 — Using aresol/ytavater (recommended)
Paste any YouTube channel handle, URL, or channel ID into the search bar above. The tool fetches the avatar at multiple quality levels and lets you preview and download it instantly.
Method 2 — Right-click on the profile photo
- 1Visit the YouTube channel or video page in your browser.
- 2Right-click on the profile photo and select "Open image in new tab" (wording varies by browser).
- 3Once the image opens in a new tab, right-click again and choose "Save image as…" to download.
Method 3 — Modify the URL for a larger size
- 1Open the avatar image in a new tab (see Method 2).
- 2In the address bar, find the size parameter near the end of the URL — it looks like s88 or s176.
- 3Replace it with a larger value such as s800, s1280, s1920, s2048, or s2560.
- 4Press Enter to reload — the avatar will appear in the larger size.
These methods depend on the channel owner's privacy settings. Some channels restrict higher-resolution versions of their avatars.
